Also kunsu, kunshi εγq, mo Φ.@A skirt-like garment covering the lower part of a Buddhist priest's body from the hips down, and found on Buddhist images. Often used as an under-garment, and covered by an outer robe *kesa UΎ, especially on *nyorai @ figures. On *bosatsu μF and *myouou Ύ€ images, however, the kun is worn with the upper body exposed except for an ornamental scarf. | ||||||
