A large tower *daitenshu 大天守, with a small tower *kotenshu 小天守, or other subsidiary structure like an entrance hall *genkan 玄関, or long, narrow gallery *tamon 多聞 built next to it. An example is the donjon of Matsuejou 松江城, Shimane prefecture, which has an attached tower tsukeyagura 付櫓. | ||||||
