It is also called *roji ˜I’n. Tea garden. The small garden through which one generally passes to enter a tea ceremony room. The garden will often include low wash basin set *tsukubai çLæõ, stone lanterns *tourou “”âÄ, stepping stones *tobi-ishi ”òÎ, special patterned stone paths *nobedan ‰„’i, a middle gate *nakakuguri ’†ö, a waiting place with a bench *koshikake machiai ˜Š|‘Ò‡, and a toilet setchin á‰B. Sometimes a middle gate divides the garden into a double garden, or, by adding another fence, even a triple one.
