A variation of *tenmokuyuu “V–ÚçÖ. A yellow-brown or liver-brown glaze often used on straight-sided conical tea bowls known as tenmoku ware *tenmoku jawan “V–Ú’ƒ˜q. Tenmokuyuu contains iron salts, tetsuen “S‰– that oxidize and turn black when fired in a kiln. The lighter brown shades of ameyuu are produced when the iron content is low. | ||||||
